Celebrating the Unsung Hero: The Father’s Day Tribute

Has it ever happened? You are trolling in your house, enjoying the peaceful life, or gulping snacks, and all of a sudden, there it is. A spider, a bossy and bold one. If you've been there, you know this is not just a cute guy on 8 legs; it's a deathmatch itself. The mom's all of a sudden summoned a chair out of thin air to stand on. The sibling in a corner sticking like duct tape using Van der Waals forces. And you? You and that spider, in the hallway. Facing each other, like two warriors. Or maybe you owe it money. Ah. Those sharp and terrifying legs, bulky like a gym dude and spiky hairs with eyes showing no emotion. This eight-legged menace has once blocked not just ours but everyone's way—at least once in their life. And when it moves an inch? We are Boeing 747.

But, how many of us made it past ourselves? The number goes to one in 10, as much as my experience says—at least when we were kids. Although, most of us still cannot manage this minibeast ourselves. Then who does it? Of course! The DADS. Only one man can end this battle. This man needs one single call. That is all it takes. "PAPAA MAKDI." He appears like the Igris from the shadows, armed with a falchion (broom). No cape. Just a faded T-shirt and boxers. And slays it hard with one swoosh. Just one. No runup. No jump. The spider? It's dead already. Gone. Obliterated. Now you can walk in peace. And that man? Watching television like nothing happened, comfy on the sofa.

Now most of you will ask: "Why narrate such a dramatic story?" I did it all for just one purpose, one that we all forget. To realize how great dads are. Not just mine, not just yours, not just ours, but everybody's. He is just like the all-rounder behind the scenes. Piping problems? He's a plumber. Electricity issue? He's an electrician. Light switch coming off the wall? He's a mason too.

Just like SBI gave you YONO to solve every banking problem, God gave us the YONO Dad to solve every life problem. For any problem? YONO Dad. You Only Need One. And now we should. We really should. Realize his importance. Not just as the spider-killer or the fix-it guy. But as a human. A human with a mind, a heart, and a heavy load on both. He's one of the center pillars of the house, bearing a huge weight. From soap and detergent to big cars and homes. He hustled it all. Not for himself. But for us. He's a superhero. No matter how great the problem is. He still dares and says: "Go to bed now, I will handle it."

But superheroes get tired too. Even they need a break. Even if they need someone to ask, "Papa, are you okay?" So let's all take a moment and ask him today, and not only today but every tired night he comes home. Let's pledge now and start making small efforts every single day. Because you never know how a small act of kindness and love from your side can cheer him up. Let us keep a cold glass of water ready when he comes home. Let us serve him dinner with our own hands. Let us say "I love you, Pa" every morning you leave. Let us sit beside him and ask about his day, even if it's just five minutes.

Let's celebrate this Father's Day not with just gifts or cards but with awareness. With love. Celebrate this Father's Day by honoring his hard work and resilience. Behind all of it is a man who deserves care, comfort, and calm. In the end, he's a human too. Someone with a sensitive heart and mind. Let us take care of his mental health together. Let us pledge to protect and love for our lives.
